International dimension
The ASH Berlin always thinks and acts on a European and international level. The ASH Berlin has been expanding its contacts with universities and institutions of social work and health care since 1980. The ASH Berlin maintains its international relations via study trips, students spending semesters overseas and via cooperations between institutions. The ASH Berlin currently has contractual ties with 40 universities in 24 countries for the benefit of its students.
The students can take part in European Union exchange programmes (ERASMUS, LEONARDO etc.). The necessary language skills can be acquired at the ASH Berlin, including in the scope of the „International Curriculum“, which offers seminars in English or Spanish to students with corresponding language skills.
The ASH Berlin is an active member of the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW), the European Association of Schools of Social Work (EASSW) and the International Council of Social Welfare (ICSW).
