Study opportunities for refugees at the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences in Berlin

Die Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin bietet auch im Sommersemester 2016 geflüchteten Menschen eine kostenfreie Gasthörerschaft an. Am 11. April 2016 hat dazu auf Einladung der Studienberatung der ASH Berlin eine Informationsveranstaltung (in Deutsch, Englisch, Arabisch & Farsisch) stattgefunden. ASH Pre-Study program for refugees and newcomers

In the winter term 2016/17 the ASH Pre-Study program for refugees and newcomers will start at ASH Berlin. During 2 semesters refugees that are not yet able to apply for a regular study program at ASH Berlin will be prepared with the competences and necessary prerequisites for studies to finally enrol as
a regular student. The program has a duration of 2 semesters containing of German and orientation courses (level B2 until C1), attendance of specific courses and seminars, completion of study-specific admission requirements (such as the completion of a pre-study placement, a first aid course). Assitance
will be given through support and back-up provided through studentmentors throughout the program.

During the summer semester 2016, refugees can participate for free in the courses at the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences.

The Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences offers bachelor and masters programmes in Social Work, Health and Early Childhood Pedagogy. It thus provides a broad range of courses with a variety of modules. Refugees can benefit from this and use the guest student programme to prepare for a regular course of studies. No student status is required to participate in the guest student programme.
