SARS-CoV-2 infection control regulation). The Corona testcenter in front of the university is open 7 am - 1.30 pm. Please bring a proof of affiliation with a Berlin university. Wearing a medical mask and compliance with hygiene and protective measures required.

Due to the special challenges in complying with the several hygiene and protection measures, the library can only offer a limited range of services:
- to return your books via the return machine in the entrance area during the opening hours from 7 am till 6 pm
- borrowing of books at the self-check-machine
- scanning of non-borrowable or other media
- printing and scanning of documents
- appointment booking for using workstations
Unfortunately, this is not possible at this time:
- registration for a library account within the library (please register online)
- Use of workstations and computers, apart from the marked, bookable workstations
- watching DVD's etc.

Members of all universities in Berlin: Until further notice, the library can only be used by members of a university in Berlin. Please provide proof of membership of one of Berlin's universities to the gatekeeper without being asked. Students must show their student ID card. Employees of a university or college of higher education should present their identification document. In addition, due to the SARS-CoV-2 infection protection ordinance, each user must also fill out a slip of paper with the following data at the gatekeeper's office: First and last name, university, type of university affiliation, e-mail address, telephone number, date and signature.

A maximum of 40 users may be in the library at the same time. In order to ensure a controlled course of library use and thus the observance of appropriate hygiene measures, you must book an appointment for your visit to the library in advance. This is done via a booking system. You have the choice between an appointment for borrowing and short-term printing/scanning or for the use of a workstation. Please come individually to the date you have booked, not in groups. Please come no more than 5 minutes before your appointment, as this avoids overlapping with previous users. Every user who has booked an appointment exclusively for borrowing and short-term printing and scanning may stay in the library for 50 minutes. Users with a workstation booking are allowed to stay in the library according to the timeslots specified for them.
Please also observe the following additional rules of conduct:
- Wearing of a medical mask required! Exception: users at a workplace
- Only single use of the stairs and the elevator!
- Observe any prescribed routes through barrier tapes!
- Observe the adherence to defined paths inside and outside the library!
We ask you to note the following information when booking a visit appointment through our booking system:
- You will not receive a confirmation e-mail about your booked appointment.
- It is not necessary to fill out the comment area! If you have any questions, please send us an e-mail to bibliothek@ ash-berlin.eu
- You can change your booked time afterwards, but only if you have a corresponding link sent to you by e-mail in the following window after saving for the first time. In this case you can view the data again and change the time.
- If you want to change the weekday, please go to the desired weekday and book a new date.
- You cannot delete your booked appointment on your own. If you are not able to keep an appointment, we do not need a cancellation.
