This course is ideal for students who have already completed the B1 level and wish to progress and improve their proficiency in English. This course is especially beneficial for those students who wish to apply for a semester abroad.
During the first class I would like to identify your specific learning needs and strategies in order to tailor the course content to your needs.
The goals of this course include:
- identifying and understanding specific details in academic texts and lectures
- summarizing the content of academic texts and lectures
- analyzing abstract concepts
- expressing opinions about social and political ideas
- understanding common expressions in day-to-day language
- applying for an intership or job
All texts and worksheets will be made available on Moodle.
You should be prepared to spend several hours a week doing homework exercises.
In order to pass and receive credit for this course, you must pass the final exam in February. |
