Dis_ability, Ableism and Human Rights
Disability is a term that is used very often in everyday language – everybody seems to know what it means- but if we look closer it becomes less self-evident: What actually is disability?
In the seminar we will take a closer look at the term and its recent history. We will also have an in-depth look at the concept of ableism and the significance of human rights for disabled people themselves, but also for social work/ social workers.
The seminar will be online and take place at three different days:
October 16, 2024, from 5 to 7 pm (17:00 bis 19:00),
February 4, 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm (10-16:00), and
February 6, 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm (10-16:00)
On October 16, we will get to know each other, the topic will be introduced, questions answered, and we will talk about the timetable in February and also about requirements resp. examinations and possible active participation.
The Zoom link will be sent approx. one week before.
