In this course, you will be introduced to selected concepts, terminology, authors, and debates within Gender and Queer Studies. Gender and Queer Studies are no longer merely a niche within the social sciences but rather a highly productive interdisciplinary field of study. While there are many overlaps between Gender and Queer Studies, they remain distinct areas of research. In this seminar, you will become familiar with both approaches. One of the goals is for you to apply the concepts, analyses, and terminology in your future practice in social work and to engage knowledgeably in current socio-political debates. |
