Abstract:
The project Child and Family (KiFa) - family health promotion, especially with single parents, pursues the aim of developing and expanding addressee-oriented and demand-oriented health-promoting structures for single parents and reducing social inequality of health opportunities. This is done in cooperation with 15 family centers of the Neukölln district. On the basis of a participatory needs assessment, the wishes and requirements of the addressee group are determined and then offers are initiated or existing offers for single parents are adjusted. The focus of this project is to provide single parents with good access to a healthy lifestyle and to motivate them to adopt health-promoting approaches, to strengthen the livelihoods and abilities of single parents and to raise awareness in the community of the addressee group. Parallel to the health-promoting offers in the family centers, a health-promoting design of the basic conditions for single parents in the municipality is targeted. Through the project, the networking partners and other institutions of the municipality should be made aware of the special needs of single parents in family- and childhood-related settings (eg sports clubs, leisure activities) to think and take into account.
