After intensive preparations, the Alice Salomon Archive has now arrived at its new location at Kokoschkaplatz in Hellersdorf. The archive holdings are now housed in the new storage room in the university's extension building. Its basic equipment includes a mobile shelving system and a climate cabinet. The archive materials, including files from ASH Berlin's historical predecessor institutions, extensive documents from Alice Salomon's relatives as well as bequests and estates from various historical researchers, now have significantly improved conservation conditions compared to the previous location.

The archive is now available directly at the university as a place for historical research, teaching and academic examination of the history of social work and its institutions. The new location makes it easier to incorporate historical documents into teaching and project-related collaboration. The archive's move to the Hellersdorf campus thus strengthens ASH Berlin's research infrastructure in the long term.

In addition to the archive material, the archive team has also moved into new premises. Until they move into the 5th floor of the extension building, the ASA staff can be found on the third floor of the extension building. From May, the archive in Hellersdorf can be used for the first time. At the "old" location in Berlin-Schöneberg, a place of learning for a wide range of topics in the history of social work is also being created in cooperation with the Pestalozzi-Fröbel-Haus Berlin. With the support of ASH Berlin's Quality Management and Development in Studies and Teaching department, ASA and PFH are currently developing concepts for innovative, digitally supported equipment for the learning location. Archive education courses will take place again from July.
