After almost five years in charge of university administration, Chancellor Jana Einsporn was given a ceremonial farewell from Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin (ASH Berlin) today. From November 2020 to July 2025, she oversaw key developments at the university. Numerous guests from universities and cooperation partners from near and far as well as ASH Berlin employees took part in the farewell ceremony, which was musically framed by "Mr. Pianoman" Thomas Krüger.

In her speech, the President of ASH Berlin, Prof. Dr. Bettina Völter, paid tribute to Jana Einsporn's achievements: "Our focus today is on thanking her. Jana Einsporn came to ASH Berlin at a time of upheaval: the coronavirus crisis was in full swing, the university was growing explosively with new degree programmes and cohorts, and we were preparing to establish and decentralize the faculties. It was not an easy start and there were many cuts and organizational development issues, especially in the area of administration. Jana Einsporn provided important impetus here and had a helpful structuring effect."

Former Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Dagmar Bergs-Winkels and former Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Olaf Neumann also thanked her personally for her commitment. Dr. Jörn Hohenhaus, Chancellor of Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences and Deputy Federal Spokesperson of the Hochschulkanzler*innen e.V., also spoke, highlighting Jana Einsporn's work and commitment in a nationwide context.

During Einsporn's time in office, ASH Berlin faced numerous challenges: In addition to the founding of the department and restructuring of the administration, a second university building was built at Kokoschkaplatz. Jana Einsporn accompanied the growth, university location and organizational development with great motivation and commitment.

Since August 2025, the Berlin native has been Deputy Head of the Legal Office in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district office and also continues to be involved as Deputy Federal Spokesperson on the Board of the Hochschulkanzler*innen e.V. (University Chancellors' Association).

ASH Berlin would like to thank Jana Einsporn for her work and wishes her all the best for the future and her new professional responsibilities. Mirko Behrens, Head of the Budget & Human Resources Department, is currently taking over as Deputy Head of Administration.
