Research Community resilience in times of pandemic

ASH Berlin researchers publish article on the consequences of the pandemic in "Forum Gemeindepsychologie" journal

In the new issue of the journal "Forum Gemeindepsychologie" with the focus on "Community Resilience in Times of Pandemic", two articles by researchers from the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin have been published.

Miriam Knörnschild and Prof. Dr. Raimund Geene, together with Sabine Rickensdorf, conducted qualitative interviews with single parents in the Berlin district of Neukölln on the topic of "Family Health Promotion in the Community". The challenging situation of this group, often neglected in social and political processes, was significantly exacerbated by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and related measures.

In the article "Resilient Organization in the New Normal," Prof. Dr. Raimund Geene, Prof. Dr. Olaf Neumann, and Laurette Rasch use the example of pandemic management at ASH Berlin to examine how the transition from emergency management to a sustainable concept of working, researching, and learning can succeed.
