On June 11, 2025, a group of the Education and Science Union (GEW) was established at Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin. The aim of the new group is to actively represent the interests of employees at the university, to make working conditions transparent and to work together for better conditions in technology, service, administration, research, teaching and for students.
The works group is open to all GEW members among the members of ASH Berlin. It sees itself as a solidarity network that promotes exchange, mutual support and collective organization.
By founding the group, it is sending out a clear signal: Good working conditions at universities are not a luxury, but the basis for good science and functioning teaching. In future, regular meetings will be held to discuss current issues, identify grievances and initiate concrete improvements together with the GEW.
All GEW members at ASH Berlin are cordially invited to actively participate. Together we are stronger - for a solidary and fair university!
