University Life "How are you?" Illustrators against anti-Semitism, hatred and racism

Exhibition of 48 comic authors presented at ASH Berlin

The exhibition "How are you? Cartoonists against anti-Semitism, hatred and racism" is currently on display.

"How are you?" - 48 comic authors asked a total of 60 interview partners this question from January 2024. The aim of the project was to counter the speechlessness that arose after the terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas and other groups and the subsequent appalling suffering caused by the war in Gaza.

Short illustrated stories were created in dialog with people affected by anti-Semitism or other forms of discrimination, as well as with people who deal with misanthropic ideologies. The comics make different perspectives visible and create spaces for empathy, exchange and reflection.

Through the educational program of the New Israel Fund Deutschland e.V., an educational approach for working with the exhibition was also developed in collaboration with the initiators of the comic project.

The exhibition will be on display at ASH Berlin until summer 2026 and will be complemented by an accompanying workshop program. All university members and interested visitors are cordially invited to visit the exhibition.
