The Women's* and Equal Opportunities Office at ASH Berlin has published the brochure "Recommendations for gender-equitable and discrimination-sensitive language". The handout provides an easy-to-understand introduction to the topic and uses numerous examples to show how inclusive and respectful language can be implemented in everyday study and work life.
"Language shapes the way we think - and therefore the way we live together. With this brochure, we want to make a low-threshold contribution to making diversity more visible and breaking down barriers in everyday language," explains the ASH Berlin Women's Representative on the occasion of the publication.
The brochure is available bothonline on the website of the Women's* and Equal Opportunities Office as well as in printed form. It is aimed at students, lecturers and staff alike and is intended to serve as a practical reference work to further strengthen equality-oriented communication at ASH Berlin.
