On Monday, Ukrainian photographer and writer Yevgenia Belorusets visited the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin. She met with President Prof. Dr. Bettina Völter and Vice President Prof. Dr. Anja Voss. Belorusets will be awarded the Alice Salomon Poetics Prize 2025 on June 26 as part of the university's summer festival. The literary prize, endowed with 6,000 euros, honors her outstanding artistic and literary work. The jury was particularly impressed by Belorusets' "poetic, touching and at the same time vivid portrayal of everyday life", with which she addresses "social grievances and, more recently, the effects of the war on the civilian population in Ukraine".

The artist's works can be seen at the Akademie der Künste until May 4 as part of the central festival exhibition of EMOP Berlin - European Month of Photography 2025.
