Abstract:
The WI:NU:K project is investigating how opioid addicts with unclear health insurance status can be better integrated into the healthcare system. The aim is to evaluate existing cooperation structures between addiction support facilities, clearing houses and medical services and to develop recommendations for optimization. An analysis will be carried out in three phases using a mixed methods design: (1) a field-related preliminary study with literature research and expert interviews, (2) ethnographic observations, user interviews and the development of an impact model, and (3) participatory workshops to derive practical suggestions for improvement. Concrete findings are expected on barriers, conditions for success and necessary structural changes in order to reach the aforementioned vulnerable target group more sustainably and improve their health and social situation, as well as to improve cooperation opportunities for existing support services.
