University life Register as a blood stem cell donor at ASH Berlin

In Germany, around 30 people a day are diagnosed with blood cancer. If suitable stem cells are found that are identical to the stem cells of the person with the disease, this can make the difference between life and death. Finding the right stem cells is extremely difficult as you have to find a genetic twin anywhere in the world. With a simple cheek swab, you can find out whether you could be a stem cell donor and thus save the life of a specific person.

On 13.12.23, the alice gesund team is planning a stem cell registration campaign in cooperation with AIAS in the foyer of the main building of ASH Berlin. Between 10:00 and 14:30, the AIAS team will be on hand to provide information and registration.

AIAS is an association of students who have the vision that all students in Germany should be included in the international stem cell database. AIAS works together with the DKMS.

We would like to invite all university members to register with us as stem cell donors and perhaps save lives.
