Block week @ international newcomers: Working freelance

Haus der Jugend/Fuchsbau, Thurgauer Straße 66, 13407 Berlin

Team für internationale Newcomer

Do you want to hear first-hand how to get started as a freelancer in the SAGE sector and how you can use your international expertise as a professional resource?

Mohammed Jouni is an ASH alumnus, political education speaker, diversity and empowerment trainer. He co-founded the self-organization "Jugendliche ohne Grenzen", is a board member of BumF and worked for years as a social worker at BBZ - Beratungs- und Betreuungszentrum für junge Flüchtlinge und Migrant*innen. Together with him, you will discuss and practise in this workshop

  • how to organize yourself well and present yourself confidently in freelance work
  • use your own international educational background as a resource and
  • not losing your inner strength in challenging moments.

The workshop will be held in German and is aimed at all international newcomers from the first to the last semester.

The venue is off-campus at Haus der Jugend - Fuchsbau (Thurgauer Straße 66, 13407 Berlin). Interactive exercises from the workshop can be tried out in an authentic working environment.

Registration via the Moodle course for international newcomers with personal log-in data and the registration code "newcomer".

Note: Another workshop with Mohammed Jouni on the topic of freelance work: How to plan projects will take place on 26.11.25 at the ASH Campus. The two workshops can be attended independently of each other.
