At the beginning of November 2025, a new anthology entitled "akademisieren, professionalisieren, transformieren. SAGE - Universities undergoing structural change using the example of Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin" was published. In it, authors from ASH Berlin look at how the largest SAGE university in Germany can succeed in counteracting the shortage of skilled workers in the social, educational and healthcare sectors despite structural underfunding and contradictory framework conditions for academization.
The event also celebrates 16 years of research at the IFAF Berlin Competence Center for Integration and Health, which has contributed to strengthening the SAGE profile at ASH Berlin. In addition, an outlook will be given on the future role of IFAF Berlin as an umbrella brand for Berlin's universities of applied sciences.
