At the end of March, construction work began on the "Classroom of the Future" pavilion in front of ASH Berlin. The pavilion is an exhibition space and educational venue for various collaborations between local residents, initiatives, artists, teachers, pupils and students. The pavilion is owned by ngbk berlin - neue Gesellschaft für bildende Kunst in Hellersdorf, which is making the building available to ASH Berlin for exhibitions and events over the next two years. The pavilion previously stood on a green space in Hellersdorf's 'Boulevard Kastanienallee' district, but then had to be dismantled as part of the site clearance work. Thanks to the support of ASH Berlin, the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district office and the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing, Alice-Salomon-Platz was found as a temporary location.

At the end of March, the raised beds of the residents' advisory board from the "Zwischenräume" project were also moved back to Alice-Salomon-Platz. The beds had spent the winter in the inner courtyard of ASH Berlin.

Now the pilot project 'Zwischenräume. Revitalization of Campus and District' of the Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin cordially invites you to the:

Opening of the exhibition 'Caring City' and inauguration of the nGbK pavilion 'Classroom of the Future' and the twelve raised beds
with artistic contributions by Jérôme Chazeix (Berlin), Elias Eichhorn (Berlin) and Inventory (Ringwould/GB & Toulouse/F)

on Tuesday, 15.04.2025 from 5 to 7 pm

The exhibition 'Caring City' deals with the question of the extent to which the largely vacant shopping center 'Marktplatz Center' on Alice-Salomon-Platz can be repurposed as a community-organized education and care center. The exhibition 'Caring City' runs from 15.4. - 28.5.2025 and can be visited on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2-6 pm. Admission is free.
