University life Theater group RostSchwung visits ASH Berlin

On November 30, the theater group Der RostSchwung will be performing in the basic lecture on social cultural work. At 12:15 pm, the actors will present their current play Umweltgeflüster in the Audimax of ASH Berlin. Anyone interested is cordially invited!

About the group "Der RostSchwung"

The theater group OstSchwung was founded in 1993 in cooperation with the Berolina citizens' association. The theme of the group in its beginnings: "Overcoming walls" between East and West and between old and young. The first play "Klassenziele", which was performed almost one hundred times over 15 years, exemplified this motto. In it, the players, based on their own biographies, dealt with the founding generation of the GDR and their experiences after 1989. In the meantime, the group has changed its focus in the course of its multi-layered project work and, in the course of its almost 30-year existence, its name. RostSchwung now unites new and old ideas of the theater group - not only in the name. The group is led by Petra Newiger.

About the play "Umweltgeflüster"

Who has ever wondered what a worn-out car tire thinks about its fate? Perhaps it still has a future ahead of it when it finally receives the attention it needs.

It really is high time for our environmental theater competition, in which the overheard have their say: a whisper that gets louder! RostSchwung takes a step to the side and leaves the spotlight to discarded materials, to the often plagued marine life, but also to the stage crew who bravely defy our theatrical waste.

Now the time has come: four scenes have been selected and give the disregarded a voice that touches, shocks or amuses, but in any case shows that it is too late to be pessimistic. Which scene will win the coveted competition prize in the end? We all have a say!
