Universities and Administration as Venues for Anti-Feminist Discourses

For years, antifeminism has increasingly appeared against feminist achievements, equality and queer policies, parallel to the increasing liberalization of gender policies and the criticism of discrimination, racism and sexism. In the process, anti-feminist mobilizations do not stop at universities and administration. Especially when academics* deal with questions of gender, gender identities or discrimination mechanisms in their research, they are also repeatedly confronted with anti-feminist attacks.

In this panel discussion, we would like to discuss with different actors the dangers of antifeminism and how intersectional vulnerabilities in the context of antifeminist attacks are particularly evident in the university context. And we want to consider what possibilities and strategies there are to counter antifeminism at the university and to protect and support academics in cases of antifeminist attacks.
