Short-term stays abroad

Enrich your studies with international experience - even if a longer stay abroad is not possible in your degree program or for you at the moment. A short stay in another country, for example a short-term internship, a language course or participation in a summer or winter school, opens up new perspectives and makes a decisive contribution to your personal development. At the same time, you will gain valuable experience that will have a positive impact on your CV and increase your career opportunities.

Short-term internship

Apply for a short-term internship, e.g. as part of your field study phase, and immerse yourself in the working world of another country. You will gain transcultural perspectives, make important contacts and strengthen your CV at the same time. Let yourself be inspired for your own project by the testimonials of former interns abroad.

Please note: To be eligible for Erasmus+ funding, your short-term internship must include a mandatory virtual component. This can take place before, during or after the mobility and can, for example, serve to prepare for or follow up on your stay.

If it is a compulsory internship for the degree programs Social Work and Childhood Education, we recommend that you take care of the recognition of your internship at an early stage. In addition, the short-term internship will only be funded by the Erasmus+ grant. All relevant information and the necessary documents can be found here.

  • Funding: Erasmus+
  • Duration: 5 - 30 days
  • Region: Erasmus+ area (all EU countries, Great Britain, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Serbia, North Macedonia, Turkey)

Blended Intensive Program

Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs) offer an excellent opportunity to establish international networks and experience transnational and interdisciplinary cooperation. These short-term programmes are organized in close cooperation between at least three universities in the Erasmus+ region.

If ASH Berlin participates in a BIP, students can receive Erasmus+ funding for the duration of their physical stay at the partner university.

A BIP combines a virtual component with an in-person stay abroad, creating a flexible and innovative learning experience. Before, during or after the mobility phase, the digital component enables exchange with international participants and an in-depth examination of the content.

A Blended Intensive Program (BIP) offers you the opportunity to gain new experiences both academically and personally. Through innovative learning formats, you can expand your technical and professional skills and gain international experience.
