Abstract:

The aim of the research project is to develop a suitable business competency model for care providers and to analyse how to implement competence management, taking into account limited financial and time resources in geriatric care. The target competency model integrates the increasingly significant health competence and should contribute to the integration and employability of older care staff.

The project is structured in five project phases. Based on an analysis phase, a business competency model will be conceived and the human resource management tools in two cooperating providers will be aligned with it. In the implementation phase, competence profiles will be created for employees and development measures tailored to these will be offered.

Based on the evaluation results, guidelines with recommended steps for the implementation of competence management, including resource-oriented competence balancing, will be made available to care providers.
