Welcome to ASH!
To make your start at ASH a little easier and to clarify initial questions, we have created a science reader for you
Purpose:
The reader combines informative sections with writing impulses.
It is intended for self-study and prepares you for reading further, in-depth literature on academic work.
Lecturers are also invited to download the reader and use it in their seminars.
Contents:
In addition to the basic concepts of academic writing, you will also find tips and impulses for the writing process.
We provide an overview of the different types of texts, introduce you to research methods and make suggestions on how you can plan your writing process.
You will also find a summary of the most important rules on citation and literature research and a chapter on useful AI tools.
Many chapters are supplemented by writing impulses that can help you to get to know your writing process better.
The last section contains further links to the advisory services at ASH Berlin and references to other support options.
The Science Reader is available in two language versions.
Please note: The English language version is not the current 4th edition, this is still being revised.
