The DS-ASH preparatory course prepares international and refugee prospective students with foreign certificates who wish to study at ASH Berlin specifically for the German Language Test for Admission to Higher Education at ASH Berlin (DS-ASH). The topics of the exam focus on the areas of social affairs, health, education and training, but do not require expert knowledge.

Times:

• DS-ASH preparation course: April 14, 2026 to May 20, 2026
• Class days: Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:00 to 15:00.
• Written DS-ASH: June 02, 2026; oral part: individual dates between June 15 and 20, 2026.

Registration:

• Registration period: February 15 to March 15, 2026
• Required documents: Proof of German language skills at level C1
• after confirmed receipt of application and by March 31 at the latest: payment of the course fee in the amount of 300.00 euros

The DS-ASH usually takes place annually in June.

• Registration: from May 5, 2026 to May 25, 2026 via a registration form available at that time.
• Admission to the examination is granted in the order in which registrations are received and only if the examination fee has been paid.
