Sexism describes discrimination based on gender. Sexism takes many forms - from derogatory comments and the "glass ceiling" to violence. In this workshop, we will use a variety of exercises to develop our own strategies for dealing with sexism in everyday life.

The workshop enables participants....

  • perceive and communicate their own boundaries
  • strengthen their own ability to perceive and act
  • create an exchange space for collective empowerment.

The workshop is run by Peps Gutsche and Simone Wibbeke as part of the project "Positioned and visible - ASH Berlin's protection concept for dealing with sexualized discrimination and violence and anti-feminist attacks". It is aimed at women, inter*, trans*, non-binary and agender people and is free of charge. The event will be held in German and the venue is barrier-free.

This event is a cooperation between the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin and the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district office as part of the district's month of action against violence against women.
