Assessing whether a child's welfare is at risk and - together with the family - working out how the child can be protected in the long term are highly complex tasks for social work professionals, with far-reaching consequences for everyone involved. It is therefore necessary to be aware of the professional background in order to have a good basis for knowledge, skills and attitudes in child protection.
To this end, the QE-WiPrax network ( MA Child Protection Cooperation Network - Dialogical Quality Development in Early Intervention and Child Protection) launched a series of specialist conferences on the topic of "Socio-educational risk assessment" in 2019.
The 13th expert input will take place on Friday, 21.11.25, from 12:00-14:30 online via Zoom.

Fear in child protection: Dynamics in the relationship between parents and professionals
In the context of child endangerment, existentially threatening fears can arise in children and their parents as well as in professionals. This presentation focuses in particular on the dynamics that can develop between parents and professionals as a result. These dynamics offer risks and opportunities for the help process, each of which will be highlighted.
