Family at ASH Berlin
ASH Berlin helps all its members to balance work with other areas of their life. We provide the necessary support so you can take full social responsibility for your family.
Sometimes it's just not possible to organise childcare or maybe you just need a quick visit to the library. At ASH Berlin, you'll find various family support structures are available whenever you need them.
All members of ASH Berlin are welcome to use the childcare rooms even without being registered for childcare. The keys can be collected from the reception office.
A nursing room is located on the third floor (R323). The room is equipped with a comfortable nursing chair, a changing table and a bottle warmer. Expressed milk, bottles and jars can be stored in a refrigerator. A microwave for heating baby food is provided in the kitchen next door in room 319.
In addition to the changing table in the nursing room (room 323), changing tables are provided in all women's, men's and all-gender welcome toilets (exception: women's toilet, first floor, left side wing).
Children of ASH Berlin library users are welcome guests. A play blanket, toys and children's books are available on request. Infants can be placed in high chairs while their parents are carrying out research. The sockets on the ground floor are equipped with child safety devices. Please note that parents are responsible for their children and should ensure that other users are not unduly disturbed.
There are two children's chairs available for use in the cafeteria. There is also a children's play area with children's tables and toys.
