In Zusammenarbeit mit den Teilnehmer*innen des ASH-Projektseminars ›Soziale Arbeit als urbane Praxis‹ sowie mit der ›Migrant Worker & Student Canteen‹ , sowie der Ausstellung ›Sorgende Stadt‹ des Campus Transferale Pilotprojekts ›Zwischenräume‹, zeigt sich der ›Kiosk of Solidarity‹ solidarisch mit migrantischen Studierenden, die von Abschiebung bedroht sind – aktuell etwa an der IU Internationalen Hochschule Berlin. Gemeinsam mit der Migrant Worker & Student Canteen machen wir auf Ausbeutung, prekäre Lebensbedingungen und politische Kämpfe aufmerksam.
Kommt vorbei, informiert euch, vernetzt euch und zeigt Solidarität!
Von 17-18.30 Uhr findet im Pavillon ein Gespräch mit Aju John (Migrant Worker & Student Canteen) statt, das die sich zuspitzende Situation internationaler Studierender beleuchtet: Aufgrund neuer Bewertungen ihrer Studiengänge sind viele von Abschiebung bedroht und müssen unter prekären Bedingungen arbeiten. Im Fokus stehen fehlender Zugang zu Wohnraum und Versorgung sowie Ausbeutung im Niedriglohnsektor – oft ohne Vertrag und unter existenziellem Druck.

In collaboration with participants of the ASH project seminar ›Social Work as Urban Practice‹, the ›Migrant Worker & Student Canteen‹, and within the framework of the exhibition Sorgende Stadt‹ by ASH Zwischenräume, the Kiosk of Solidarity stands in solidarity with migrant students facing the threat of deportation – currently, for example, at IU International University Berlin. Together with the Migrant Worker & Student Canteen, we draw attention to exploitation, precarious living conditions, and ongoing political struggles.

From 5-6.30 pm, a talk with Aju John (Migrant Worker & Student Canteen) will take place in the pavilion, highlighting the worsening situation of international students: due to new evaluations of their study programs, many are at risk of deportation and forced to work under precarious conditions. The focus is on lack of access to housing and basic provisions, as well as exploitation in the low-wage sector—often without contracts and under constant existential pressure.
