Der Europatag geht zurück auf den Tag der "Schumann-Erklärung"im Jahr 1950: der französische Außenminister Robert Schumann erklärte seine Vision zur Schaffung einer Europäischen Gemeinschaft für Kohle und Stahl (EGKS).
Was hat das mit uns im Buddy-Programm zu tun? Schumanns Vorschlag, der ein Jahr später umgesetzt werden sollte, gilt als Grundstein der heutigen Europäischen Union. Ohne die Europäische Union gäbe es das Erasmus-Programm nicht - und ohne das Erasmus-Programm gäbe es uns als Buddy-Programm wohl auch nicht. Lasst uns das gemeinsam feiern, mit der Europa-Ausgabe des Internationalen Stammtisches: am 9. Mai 2019, 20 Uhr in der Bar Ä (Weserstr. 40, 12045 Berlin)!
Wir beraten euch beim Stammtisch u.a. zum Erasmus+ Programm, zu Studien- und Praxismöglichkeiten im (nicht nur europäischen) Ausland, aber auch eine Wahlhelferin für die Wahlen zum Europäischen Parlament am 26. Mai 2019 ist dabei. Oder ihr kommt einfach auf eine Schorle oder ein Bier vorbei und lernt andere (lokale und internationale) Studierende kennen. Wir freuen uns auf euch!
#Erasmus #EUelections2019 #thistimeimvoting: The Buddy Programme at ASH Berlin is celebrating Europe Day on 9th of May 2019! Europe Day marks the anniversary of the "Schumann declaration" in the year 1950: the then French foreign minister Robert Schumann declared his vision to create a European Coal and Steel Community.
What does this have to do with the buddy programme at ASH Berlin? Schumann's vision, put into practice one year later, is considered the beginning of what is now the European Union. Without the European Union, the Erasmus programme wouldn't exist - and without the Erasmus programme, we as an international buddy programme probably wouldn't exist either. So let's celebrate that with a European edition of our International Regulars' Table: 9th of May 2019, 8pm in bar Ä (Weserstr. 40, 12045 Berlin)!
At the Regulars' Table, you can ask us about the Erasmus+ programme, options to do an internship or exchange semester within the EU and abroad, but you can also chat with a volunteer poll worker for the European Elections on 26th of May 2019! Or you just drop by for a Schorle or a beer and get to know other local or international students. We look forward to seeing you there!
